To ensure we achieve the best possible result for your hair, all new colour clients are required to attend a complimentary consultation and skin sensitivity test at least 48 hours before their first colour appointment.
This is an opportunity for us to get to know you, your hair and your goals.
During your consultation we will:
Discuss the look you would like to achieve.
Assess your hair's current condition and suitability for your desired colour.
Review your previous colour history and any chemical services you have had.
Even if your previous colour appears to have faded, residual colour pigments can remain in the hair and may influence the final result. Understanding your colour history helps us plan the safest and most appropriate approach for your hair.
Your safety is our highest priority.
All professional hair colour manufacturers recommend a skin sensitivity (patch) test before a first colour service, as allergies can develop at any timeāeven if you have coloured your hair previously without any problems.
The test is quick and simple. A small amount of colour is applied discreetly behind your ear and any excess is removed after a few minutes. The area must then remain undisturbed for 48 hours so we can ensure there is no reaction such as redness, itching or irritation before your appointment.
Your consultation also allows us to discuss the investment involved in achieving your desired result and answer any questions you may have.
It also enables us to allocate the appropriate amount of time for your service, ensuring your appointment is relaxed, unhurried and tailored to your individual needs.
You'll also have a clearer idea of how long to allow for your visit.
We understand that life doesn't always go to plan and that unexpected delays can happen.
If you think you're going to be late, please let us know as soon as possible. We'll always do our best to accommodate you where time allows.
As we schedule appointments carefully to give every client the time and attention they deserve, arriving late can sometimes affect the appointments that follow.
If there isn't enough time to complete your booked service, we may need to reschedule part or all of your appointment to ensure we continue to provide the high standard of care and service that every client deserves.
Thank you for your understanding and consideration of both our team and other clients.
Discounted pricing for children's and student services is available during our regular weekday trading hours.
As Thursday evenings and Saturdays are our busiest appointment times, children's and student services during these periods are charged at our standard service prices.
Thank you for your understanding.
Please consider your choice of clothing when attending your appointment.
If you're having your hair styled for a special occasion, we recommend wearing a button-up or front-opening top, as this can be removed without disturbing your finished hairstyle.
While we take every care to protect your clothing during your visit, the use of professional hair colour and styling products means there is always a small risk of accidental staining or damage.
For this reason, Salon Inovo cannot accept responsibility for damage to clothing during salon service.
